Privacy Policy

Effective October 20, 2026

This policy explains what information is collected when you use whatsthbuzz.com, Congress Tracker (congress.whatsthbuzz.com), and the Congress Tracker app for Android. They are operated by WHATSTHBUZZ LLC ("WHATSTHBUZZ," "we," or "us").

The short version

Information you send us

We have two forms, both run on Google Forms:

We use what you send only to reply to you or to fix the error you reported. We don't use it for marketing, and we don't sell or share it. We keep form responses for up to one year from when we receive them, then delete them.

Because the forms run on Google Forms, Google stores the responses for us, and Google's Privacy Policy covers how Google handles them.

Information stored on your device

Congress Tracker stores two things in your own browser. Neither is a cookie, and neither is ever sent to us:

You can remove both at any time by clearing your browser's data for the site.

Finding your legislators

The "Find your legislators" tool works without sending anything to us:

We never see or store what you type or where you are. Those services have their own policies: the OpenStreetMap Foundation Privacy Policy and the Census Bureau Online Privacy Policy.

Services that deliver our sites

Whenever a browser loads anything from the internet, the server it connects to receives the visitor's IP address and basic browser information as part of the connection. Here is who your browser connects to when you use our sites:

Our fonts are hosted on our own sites, so no font service is involved. The public records shown in Congress Tracker are gathered ahead of time and published on our site, so your browser doesn't contact those record sources while you browse.

Links to other websites

Our sites link to official records and other websites. Once you follow a link, that website's own privacy policy applies.

The Congress Tracker app for Android

The app displays the Congress Tracker website, and everything in this policy applies to it the same way. It doesn't ask for access to your contacts, camera, microphone, photos, or files. If you use "Use my location" in the app, you're asked for permission first, the same as on the website.

Children

Our sites and app are not directed to children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has sent us information through one of our forms, contact us and we'll delete it.

How to delete your data

You can ask what information we have from you, or ask us to delete it, at any time. This applies to whatsthbuzz.com, Congress Tracker, and the Congress Tracker app for Android.

To request deletion:

  1. Open our contact form: send us a message.
  2. In your message, say that you want your information deleted.
  3. Tell us what to look for: the name and email address you used on the contact form, and a description of any error report you sent and about when you sent it. Error reports don't ask for a name or email, so a description is the only way we can find them.

What we delete: every contact form and error report response from you that we can find. We delete it as soon as possible after we receive your request.

What we keep: your deletion request itself, as a record that we received and handled it. Like other form responses, we keep it for up to one year from when we receive it, then delete it.

Information we never receive: the settings and saved pages stored on your own device, and anything you enter in "Find your legislators," never reach us, so there is nothing for us to delete. You can remove what's on your device by clearing your browser's data for the site.

Changes to this policy

If we change how we handle information, we'll update this page and the effective date at the top.
